This leash is 4 feet long, and is half an inch wide. It is UV fade resistant, durable, machine washable, and handmade in the USA with a large solid brass clip. 

Even though this leash is strong and durable, it is still extremely lightweight, soft, and comfortable to hold, even if your dog is a puller. 

These colors represent what we see around our new desert environment, and inspired by the beautiful desert landscape we saw while traveling. This leash got it's name from signs we have seen all over the desert warning hikers to "Dont bust the crust". What this means is to stay on the trail and not to disturb the natural ecosystem happening along side the trail. One wrong step and over a century of biological growth can be destroyed! The "crust" is actually alive and it is made up of cryptogamic crust, macrobiotic crust, and biological soil crusts. The Biological soil crusts are thin layers made up of cyanobacteria, mosses and lichens. I am amazed by how much life can survive and thrive in such a harsh environment, even things we can't see without looking closely!
